First Grade

well sorry about the delay i know its been ages but I'm back home teaching first grade. I have 5 kids in my class and im teaching all in Hebrew at least im supposed to be. But if i do then they complain..... "Why can't you talk in English? We don't understand you!" So i cheat more often than not. But then again the probably do to. But i cant come down on first graders cheating its too cute.. anyway theyre learning how to read and ill post pictures soon of them learning all aspects of each letter.

Lag Baaomer

hey everybody long time no blog..... so lag baaomer in meiron its most defintely an experience.. so i walk in and the first thing i see is this little boy wearing a very familiar looking sweatshirt...

so that was .. hello wrong team we go for the cardinals but i couldnt talk to him bcause of a few reasons ..1. charedi..2. hebrew barrier..3. scary father with laynga paiyos.. anhow theyre were people collecting tzedakah all over on the way to the actual kever. this was the most origianl...

so moving along took a rest stop and found somethign else intesting ... imagine if this was at every flying J ...

trying to surf

im sitting outside my seminary gates because in order to borrow service from the neighbors you have to sit ouside.... if i sit at the table i lose service so i go to sit on the curb... then our resident dog shnitzel who was supposed to be taken away two weeks ago comes over and tries to bite my hand and the computer i chase him off... he chases a cat.. .who chases a bird ..... and then comes back to me and tries to bite me aggggaaiiin ow he just touched me gtg chase him shabbat shalom lkulam

Purim In Town

purim in town... town being jerusalem... ben yehuda area... well lets just start off by wow.... home parties are nothiong in comparison .. first of all EVERYONE is wearing a costume... some were rated so were G unfortunatley many were XXX .... anyhow Lubavs were wearing gowns marrying suprisingly enough their chavrusas,,, everywere there were fireworks and "baby bombs" a baby bomb is a little firecracker lit and thrown at someone and then explodes withan extremely loud noise which kinda makes your hjeart skip a beat.... shaving cream fights ... drunks falling over everyone... not the place you wanna be unless youre in the ^ categories... which i wasnt in case anyones wondering... the coolest part about purim in israel is you can either keep two days or none... i find it interesting that all the holidays are only one in israel except the one were getting drunk is a mitzvah.... off to do that (jk ma) HAPPY PURIM ... CHAG PURIM SAMEACH as they say here in the holy land

Shuk Purim

shuk purim is the day before tanis esther in israel... all the kids dress up and go to a carnival.... since were in sem we run it.... i was in charge of the haunted house.... kids lined up outside a classroom ... inside was pitch black with about 12 girls dressed in black.. tables form a square in the middle and there is a wheelbarrow as you walk in.... the door opens one kid is grabbed by the arm and pulled in ( by yours truly) the child immediately has momentary blindness grabs for me.. i move... a girl rasps "shalom chamuda shvi po bvakasha" the child is then thrown (gently) into the wheelbarrow she screams "IMALEH IMALEH" the wheelbarrow starts moving around the room ... water is sprayed monssters jump into the childs face.... lights pop up from nowhere followed by screaming teenagers.... if a kid cries we jump for joy... it shows us were scary... but not scary enouhg.... one girl who scares easily came in ... the annocement was made to be nice... she starts going around non oise is made... one girl pops out from beneath the table and says smiling "shalom" the girl screamed AAHHHHH.... our resedential monster who would put a flashlight under her chin turn it on and scream in the girls faces ... each time she would scare a girl she d appolagize... scary we know... thats all purim in town is coming up

well well sink

well our sinks are normal till you look at the back then they have pipes going nowhere as mysterious as it may sound you can wash inside or outside... personally i think its a prob for shabbat but dont be lazy we can go inside and wash...

we have a car always on campus so that we can practice driving for back home

thats the post office where you get youre packages from happy birthday/purim or jsut stam

if we get sick its ironically from taking showers thats our shower ceiling covered in mold

the avacado criminal

well heres a new one so basically.... they were having a problem with girls actually eating the food ..... tradgedy i know.... so the put up bars now we get avacados with a sponga pic will be on soon BH so anyone who wants to send marshmellow fluff to compensateyour welcome to

it sure is nice to have two washing machines for 50 ppl .......................... even though only one works.... sometimes...... and theyre only 5 shek each load.. then another 5 shek for the dryer.... then the dryer again.... sometimes again.... whadya know... 2 loads of laundry ==55 shek.... for everythign else theres mastercard

EILAT

we went to eilat in teves for two days one night... that night we went on a cruise with music and we danced on the open boat on the water awesome.... next day we went banana boating, kayaking, and paddle boating but we had a blast i tried climbing the plank between the boat and dock ... cept we were in the middle of the cruise so i was discouraged.... one good thinsg about sem is we go on cool trips

MY WALL

well my wall thats about it thats mine i hve a bed with no space 5 beds in a closet oh and isreali beds made for 5 year olds and then they complain when my feet hang over the edge and kick thm in middle of the night.... sometimes thats not an accident

prep for shabbat

this was me in the beginning of the year... now that i see in lud the only thing to get dressed up for is shabbat.... aval ma laasoat? btw i dont do the straight hair thing anymore and i dont do the makeup thing unless im at cousins bc then you have to impress...... and all of it is done 3 and 1/2 min before shabbat..... az shabbat shalom

Shabbos in Shilo

hey everyone first of all these posts wont go in order but everything i did will go on with the appropriate dates.... aight now for parshas terumah march 4th i was in shilo with shulamit akerman at her aunts house. first of all i had a propostion for marraige by an 8 year old boy who told me he loves me his name being Har-el.. shilo is beautiful and i remebered that when tatty went he said to someone where does family spirro live ... so i asked her aunt and they lived less than a five minute walk awway..... sooooo.... shabbos afternoon i went over to say hi and i saw mrs... tair, shmuel, shmaya, miriam, and chana who is really cute (not as much as rivky) the rest of them either werent there or were sleeping.... fri night i davened in a bomb shelter... very interesting.. i also saw the "mishkan" which is the shul in shilo (the big one)... anyway joy of joys im heading back to lud now.... gut voch yaalls!!!
